Privacy policy.

This policy covers https://springtxdentistry.com, the website of Oak Hills Dentistry, 2525 Louetta Rd, Ste 100, Spring, TX 77388. It describes what the website collects and what happens to it. Your clinical records at the practice are governed by a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which the front desk can give you.

What this website collects

The appointment request form

If you send an appointment request, we receive the information you type: your name, phone number, the treatment area you selected and your preferred time of day. That is all the form asks for, deliberately.

Please do not include medical details, diagnoses, medication lists or insurance numbers in the form. It is a request to be called back, not a patient record, and a website form is not the right channel for health information. We will take those details over the phone or in person.

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection to the form handler the practice uses, and from there to the practice's own inbox. They are used to contact you about your request and are not sold, rented or used for advertising.

Spam protection

The form includes a hidden field and a timing check to filter automated submissions. Those run entirely in your browser and on our own page.

It also uses Google reCAPTCHA v3, which scores how likely a submission is to be automated. It asks you to do nothing — there is no puzzle and no checkbox — but it does load a script from Google when you start filling the form in, and Google will see your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies. The script is not loaded on any page until you interact with the form, and never at all if you do not. Google's use of that data is governed by their privacy policy rather than ours. If your browser blocks it, the form still works.

Server logs

Like any website, requests to this site are logged by the hosting provider, typically including IP address, the page requested, timestamp and browser user-agent. These logs exist for security and reliability and are retained by the host under its own policy.

Analytics

No analytics or advertising scripts are currently loaded on this site. If analytics is enabled in future, it will be configured with IP anonymization on, Google Signals off and advertising personalization off, and this section will be updated before it goes live.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. It loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers to fetch the font files. No analytics cookies are set.

The one thing this site does store on your device is your display preferences, if you set any: text size, contrast, motion and link underlines, from the panel in the bottom corner of every page. They are kept in your browser's local storage under a single entry, they are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and they are used only to render the page the way you asked for it. “Reset to defaults” in that panel deletes the entry, as does clearing site data for this domain.

CareCredit financing

One page — CareCredit financing — shows CareCredit's current offers in a panel supplied by CareCredit, a Synchrony company. Opening that page loads a script from Synchrony's servers, which may set their own cookies and will see your IP address and browser details the way any website you visit does. It runs on that page alone.

We pass Synchrony nothing about you. The panel receives only the practice's merchant number, which identifies us rather than you, and it has no access to anything you type into the appointment form. If you go on to apply, you are dealing with CareCredit under their privacy policy, not ours. Only one other page on this site loads an embedded third-party component — the reviews page below — and every treatment page can be read without touching either.

Patient reviews

One page — patient reviews — displays reviews patients have left on Google, through a widget supplied by KLAS Marketing. Opening that page loads a script from their servers, which may set their own cookies and will see your IP address and browser details the way any website you visit does. We pass it nothing about you, and it has no access to anything you type into the appointment form.

The reviews themselves are written by patients and hosted by Google under Google's own terms. We do not edit them, and we do not offer anything in exchange for one. If you would rather not load the widget, you can read the same reviews directly on Google.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your information.
• We do not add advertising pixels or remarketing tags to this site. The exceptions to what we control are the two embedded components described above — Synchrony's financing panel on the CareCredit page, and the reviews widget on the patient reviews page.
• We do not build advertising profiles from what you read here.
• We do not put health information in page URLs, so nothing about the condition you read about is passed to third parties in a referrer.

How long we keep things

Appointment requests are kept as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a record of the enquiry. If you become a patient, your clinical record is governed by the practice's records-retention obligations rather than by this policy.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a website enquiry. Call the practice on 281-350-8852 or ask at the front desk. Requests about clinical records follow the process in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. Appointment requests for a child should be submitted by a parent or guardian.

Links out

Some pages link to outside organizations such as the American Dental Association or Google Maps. Those sites have their own policies, and this one does not cover them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
